Goshawk

A standoff scale model of the Navy T-45A Goshawk, this quick little jet is designed for a Kyosho or WeMoTec MF480 fan unit and compatible power source.

Wingspan: 30.5"
Length: 33.5"
Weight depends on your power system of course, but the goal here is 50oz.
The Goshawk is made of polyester fibreglass with lots of carbon fiber veil reinforcement.
Wings are light and strong balsa sheeted foam core construction.
Fibreglass intake and thrust tubes.
Elevator is full flying, and the Goshawk has an optional rudder!!
All wood parts are cut to shape for you. Some minor trimming may be needed.
Clear canopy with a formed cockpit deck.
It's a bungee assist launch and there is no landing gear, so a grass field is a must. However, for the purist, landing gear can be designed and installed, or there is plenty of space for the installation of a set of mechanical Micro Retracts from Robart. This option is only for hard surface take off and landings, but it is not practical due to the high consumption of battery power for takeoffs. Bungee assisted takeoffs with wheels down landings are the best way to go if retracts are used.
Originally designed around the Kyosho fan and AP29L brushed motor, this unit will fly the plane quite well. No cheater hole is required, even for the Kyosho fan..
The hot ticket is an Airpower 70mm fan and brushless power (ie: Astro 05, Aveox 1010/2Y, Kontronik Fun480, or similar).
For servos, the Goshawk requires two sub-micro servos for ailerons, one micro servo for elevators, and one micro servo for optional rudder.

Retail Price is CDN$250

The Goshawk kit now INCLUDES the new Airpower 70mm ducted fan unit.
