MiG-17C "Fresco"
Known in the US as the EAM MiG-17C "Fresco", this terrific jet is designed for the WeMoTec MiniFan 480 and compatible power source.

| The Mig-17 is made of polyester fibreglass with lots of carbon fiber veil reinforcement. |

| It's a bungee assist launch and there is no landing gear, so a grass field is a must. |
| Originally designed around the Kyosho fan and AP29L brushed motor, this unit would fly the plane, but that's all it would do. Flight performance was similar to the Kyosho T-33. |
| The obvious upgrade is the Airpower 70mm fan and brushless power. The budget minded upgrade is the Kyosho fan or Airpower 70mm powered with either an Astro 05, Aveox 1010/2Y, Kontronik Fun480, or similar brushless motor, but lightweight batteries and a cheater hole are a must when using the Kyosho fan. The Airpower 70mm fan gets by just fine on only the stock intake. |
| For servos, the MiG requires two sub-micro (or micro) servos for ailerons and one micro servo for elevator. Two additional micro servos will be needed if you choose to install the optional flaps. |
| The plane is bungee launched however, for the purist, landing gear can be designed and installed for hard surface take off and landings but it is not practical due to the additional weight gain. |
